Host me!

I am so excited to be hosted by you for these reasons:

1) I LOVE how tech-focused you are as a company.  Since completing UX and graphic design certificates, I greatly appreciate a travel agency with a full team of engineers, designers, and product managers.

2) Hello, neighbor!  I am in Manhattan and so are you!

3) I think our travel philosophies line up well.  I love great value and that doesn’t mean getting the cheapest.  Of course, it is fun to not have a budget, but I think it is a real craft to put a vacation together where you spend on the things that will have the biggest and most meaningful impact

4) I miss not being in a cohort and I love the way you describe your training program and community

I first learned about FORA during the HAR Host Week and I was immediately impressed.  I started filling out your survey on February 8th but got stuck on sharing social media links or a page that represented me well.  Meanwhile, I completed HAR’s new course for starting a travel agency and feel ready to jump in.  I also booked an Azamara cruise for me and three others and I would love to transfer it to myself as the travel advisor - so time is running out for that!

About my social media, (sigh), . . .

For the majority of my working life, I have been in a commission-only/mostly sales environment working with luxury home furnishings.  My work was very stressful and it consumed my life. I always went on vacation, because I consider that essential, but I had no work/life balance.

My career crashed in 2018 and I knew I needed to make a change.  I was very embarrassed, and confused and was having an identity crisis, aka - a mid-life crisis. I did not want this to play out on social media, so I essentially left. I thought I would take a year to re-group and then launch back in with a shiny new career in tech.  I had a bit of a stall and the pandemic happened, etc.

While I was working on my 9-month UX training, I started pet-sitting on Rover. I absolutely love cats and it was possibly the most fun job I had ever had, but I was embarrassed to tell my old network that I had become a domestic worker.  As travel picked up, so did my business and I have essentially become a full-time cat-sitter.  I will share my profile with you so you can see my commitment to keeping my human clients happy:

I want to launch back onto social media as a travel advisor.  I have always been super passionate about travel and often am more excited about other people's vacations than they are, LOL.

For fun: here is a cat video I created during my Adobe Premiere Pro class at FIT:

I look forward to hearing from you soon!  Thank you for your consideration.
